North Carolina Nursing CE Requirements

RNs, LPNs and APRNs are required to maintain a current RN or LPN multistate license or NC single state license. NC license renewal requires thirty (30) contact hours of continuing education activities.
Continuing Education courses approved by other State Licensing Boards are recognized and accepted for fulfilling continuing education requirements for this state. Please consult the specific State Licensing Board’s rules and regulations for the most up-to-date information regarding requirements and credit hour obligations for your profession.
